The MBA in detailMSc + MBA — two master's degrees
Taken together over 18 months, the MSc and MBA produce two master's degrees and four awards in total, since each degree is conferred by BHMS and by Robert Gordon University.
Combined total CHF 58'100 against CHF 84'200 taken separately — a saving of about CHF 26'100.
Note the MBA runs on its own intake cycle (September 2026 · April 2027), which shapes how the 18 months are sequenced.

Getting in without a bachelor's degree
BHMS states that students without a bachelor's degree — or with a degree outside the sector — can enter through a Graduate Certificate or a Postgraduate Diploma, which then give access to the MSc programmes.
Graduate Certificate in International Hospitality Business Management
Admission: Associate degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years full-time work experience, IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
Leads to: Direct access to the MSc in Global Business Management or the MSc in International Hospitality Business Management — without a bachelor’s degree.

Dual award with Robert Gordon University.
Postgraduate Diploma in Business & Hospitality Management
Admission: Associate degree plus a minimum of 2 years full-time work experience, OR a bachelor’s degree in another discipline; IELTS 5.0 or equivalent.
Leads to: Progresses directly to the MSc in Global Business Management or the MSc in International Hospitality Business Management. Semester 2 is a six-month internship — a standard part of this programme, not an option.

Postgraduate Diploma in Culinary Arts
Admission: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline OR associate degree plus 2 years’ work experience; IELTS 5.0. Includes 330 hours in the kitchen.

Do the eight MSc programmes cost different amounts?
No. All eight cost exactly CHF 40'600 for the year — tuition CHF 31'100 plus operating costs CHF 2'600, living expenses CHF 5'900 for 24 weeks and a CHF 1'000 application fee. The MBA with Specialisation is CHF 43'600.
What is the difference between the MSc and the MBA?
The MSc is a specialised master of 90 ECTS / 180 UK credits: six months of subject modules, then a 30 ECTS independent research project. The MBA with Specialisation is a one-year intensive general-management degree — 120 credits in Semester 1 across eight 15-credit core modules, then a research project or business consultancy aligned to one of 7 specialisations. Both are dual-awarded with Robert Gordon University. They can also be combined into an 18-month pathway.
Can I take both an MSc and an MBA?
Yes. The MSc and MBA combine into an 18-month dual pathway, ending with two master's degrees — four awards in total, because each degree is conferred by both BHMS and Robert Gordon University. The combined route totals CHF 58'100, against CHF 84'200 if the two were taken separately.

Lucerne: International Tourism Management, Wine and Beverage Business Management, Culinary Entrepreneurship, and the MBA. What are the entry requirements?
A recognised bachelor's degree in any discipline, or a BHMS Postgraduate Diploma / Graduate Certificate, plus English at IELTS 6.0 or equivalent (B2). The MSc in Culinary Entrepreneurship has its own route, which also accepts a non-culinary degree combined with food and beverage experience. BHMS notes that visa requirements differ for applicants aged 30 and over.
