What is inside the fee
Including the roof over your head
The operating-costs component covers the administrative burden that usually lands on international students separately; the living-expenses component covers accommodation and meals for the 24 weeks of Semester 1.

The 18-month combined route totals CHF 58'100 — tuition CHF 44'350, operating costs CHF 3'900, living expenses CHF 8'850 for 36 weeks, plus the application fee — against CHF 84'200 if the two degrees are taken separately. BHMS pages currently show conflicting application fees on the dual route; confirm which applies before you pay.

What Semester 2 can pay back
If you take the optional six-month internship in Switzerland in a hospitality placement, the published gross minimum is CHF 2'390/month — CHF 14'340 gross across six months, before deductions for board, lodging and social insurance.
BHMS states what typically remains: around CHF 1'500/month in countryside placements where the employer provides accommodation, and roughly CHF 800–CHF 1'000/month in major cities without accommodation, after taxes and rent.
Two honest caveats: on the MSc the internship is optional rather than a compulsory component, and BHMS states the minimum salary is not guaranteed for placements outside hospitality. How Semester 2 works →

Straight answers
Do the eight MSc programmes really all cost the same?
Yes — CHF 40'600 for the year, whichever MSc you choose. Tuition CHF 31'100, operating costs CHF 2'600, living expenses CHF 5'900 for 24 weeks and a CHF 1'000 application fee.
Is accommodation really included?
Shared standard accommodation (2–4 bed) and meals are inside the CHF 5'900 living-expenses component, covering 24 weeks. If you want your own room, upgrades are priced per semester: Studio Standard at the Lakeside Campus CHF 6'600, Studio Superior at the City Campus CHF 7'500.
What is not included?
Flights, personal spending, the accommodation upgrades listed above, and living costs during Semester 2 if you spend it away from campus. BHMS does not publish a figure for Semester 2 living costs, since that depends entirely on where you spend it.
Are these 2027 prices?
No. These are the published 2026 rates. BHMS has not published fees for 2027 intakes at the time of writing, so treat any 2027 start as subject to confirmation with admissions.
Are there scholarships?
BHMS does not publish scholarship or bursary amounts on its website, so no figures are quoted here. Ask admissions directly what applies to your profile and intake rather than relying on third-party sites.
Can the internship offset the fee?
